There are several things that set my heart on fire. I would say the first would be HOPE. I am a strong believer that God has hope for us and the nations and if He has hope, that gives me permission to be hopeful as well.

The next thing that sets my heart on fire is being able to play a part in documenting something through photography. This could be anything from an event (conference, wedding, etc) to family photos and photos while I’m overseas. A part of being a photographer and a Christian is to pull out who God made people and cultures to be through my photos. Showing the beauty of a person or places brings me life!

The final and most important fire on my soul would be Jesus. EVERYTHING I do is for him. He is my reason, my hope, my peace. From taking photos and/or videos to discipling my kids and those around me, it is ALL for Jesus and because of Jesus.
